TOMI™ Extends Manufacturing Agreement, Submits New Patent Filings & Furthers Work With Its International Strategic Customers

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 02, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TOMI™ Environmental Solutions, Inc. (TOMI) (OTCQX:TOMZ), a global bacteria decontamination and infection prevention company, announced it executed a new Manufacturing and Development Agreement with RG Group. Extending the longstanding relationship, TOMI has worked closely with RG Group for over two years to deliver customized applications to TOMI’s customers.

PATENTS
During 2016, TOMI filed four new patent applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to protect TOMI’s groundbreaking SteraMist™ designs for decontamination and disinfection modules, chambers, carts, and other equipment. In addressing its customers’ needs, TOMI has developed numerous new designs of its SteraMist equipment to fit into numerous areas/spaces.

NEW PRODUCTS
TOMI has also developed custom disinfection/decontamination chambers in conjunction with the USAid Fighting Ebola: A Grand Challenge for Development grant awarded to TOMI in the fight against Ebola. These chambers were tested in Liberia during which TOMI technology was used to decontaminate the Ebola treatment center as part of the fight against Ebola. Continued development has been in the works for international and domestic needs in the areas of emergency preparedness, healthcare, and life sciences.

TOMI has recently developed a fully self-contained SteraMist™ cart that provides healthcare workers, specifically the Environmental Services (EVS) staff of hospitals, a portable and accessible option to house all the tools and products commonly used for terminal clean of patient rooms and any of the other 42 healthcare-hospital use sites listed on TOMI’s EPA registered healthcare and hospital label.  TOMI has also made other new modifications to its SteraMist™ products, including developing stainless steel surface units to be used in the areas of cleanrooms, pharmaceutical processing, aviation, and surgical operatories.

STRATEGIC CUSTOMERS
TOMI is continuously developing custom fit build-in proposals for full rooms, pass-boxes, chambers, Bag-in/Bag-Out (BIBO), and other enclosures for its current and potential customers, as well as looking to invent new technologies to further our motto of “Innovating for a Safer World”. TOMI continues to work closely with its licensed worldwide strategic customers and has developed custom build-in applications for them.  TOMI recently developed a custom SteraMist Surface Unit  for use by a German pharmaceutical company.  TOMI also recently developed a rapid cycle decontamination unit in a custom enclosure for use by Type Solutions, SA, a laboratory and industrial equipment company located in Portugal.  Similarly, TOMI developed under license customized build-in solutions for Telstar Group in Spain and AM Instruments Srl in Italy that is used with their pharmaceutical laboratory and cleanroom equipment and could provide these end-users decontamination validation without damage to their delicate equipment and fixed materials. These developments all result in a much quicker treatment time than competitive fogging decontamination solutions.
