Terrence Mawawa | A man who was caught redhanded having sex with his neighbour’ s donkey pleaded guilty to bestiality charges on Friday.
The 23-year-old man, Malvern Ngwenya from Jambezi Area was arrested after he was caught stark naked – having sex with his neighbour’s donkey.
Ngwenya pleaded guilty to bestiality when he appeared before Magistrate Rangarirai Gakanje on Friday.
Ngwenya told the court he was influenced by demons to perform the shameful act.
The court heard that last Tuesday around 2000 hrs Ngwenya tiptoed into his neighbour Bernard Mlauzi’s livestock kraal.
He then undressed and started having sex with his neighbour’ s donkey.
“Mlauzi’s son, Sipho heard some movements in the kraal and went to investigate whereupon he found the naked Ngwenya on the back of the animal.
” The accused was caught red-handed having sexual intercourse with a donkey.
Upon realising that he had been caught, Ngwenya jumped off the back of the donkey and ran away leaving all his clothes behind,” the court heard.
Sipho then picked up the clothes and alerted some neighbours.
A report was made to the police leading to Ngwenya’ s arrest.
Ngwenya will be sentenced on Monday.

This statement is wrong from a wrong thinking reporter.
The donkey was raped by this man and he should be charged with rape, even when the donkey cannot give evidence. Those who apprehended him can give evidence on behalf of the donkey.
The last tie this happen the criminal said the animal had no HIV unlike prostitutes. It needs to be said that the regularity at which these cases (men and animals rape) means it may not be a sure thing that the animals have no HIV or other STIs
