Construction work worth 25.1 trillion soums was carried out in Uzbekistan in January-September 2017 that is 5.3 percent more than the same period of 2016.
According to the country’s State Statistics Committee, the growth of construction work in big construction organizations stood at 12.3 percent (their share in the total volume of construction work was 33 percent), in small construction enterprises and microfirms – 13.1 percent (37 percent), and the volume of construction work performed by individuals, decreased by 8.4 percent (30 percent).
The growth of construction work is provided, mainly thanks to the construction and reconstruction of a number of buildings and structures.
The high growth of construction work carried out by small enterprises and microfirms – 13.1 percent, has been provided mainly through the construction of multi-apartment residential buildings, construction and repair of roads, construction and reconstruction of pre-school educational institutions, music and art, higher education institutions and other social facilities for the development of regional infrastructure.
