American Family Insurance ALL-USA Central Indiana boys basketball preseason Super Team

Check out the preseason American Family Insurance ALL-USA Central Indiana boys basketball team.

Let’s do this. The high school boys basketball season has arrived. Here is a look at the 2017-18 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Central Indiana boys basketball preseason Super Team:

First team

Kevin Easley, Lawrence North, Sr.

The 6-7 Easley, a one-time VCU commit, has put recruiting on the backburner to focus on his senior season. Easley averaged a team-leading 17.6 points and eight rebounds per game as a junior to lead Lawrence North to 17 wins and a sectional finals appearance.

Aaron Henry, Ben Davis, Sr.

The 6-5 Michigan State recruit led the Giants to a state championship for the first time since 1996. Henry averaged 14.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists as a junior. With five seniors gone to graduation, Ben Davis will lean on Henry more than ever.

Eric Hunter, Tindley, Sr.

The 6-3 Purdue recruit was named the City Player of Year last season as a junior after leading the Tigers to a Class A state championship. Hunter averaged 25.5 points and 7.2 rebounds as a senior and has 1,836 career points going into his final season.

Trayce Jackson-Davis, Center Grove, Jr.

The 6-9 junior is considered a top-50 national recruit and has offers from Indiana, Purdue, Butler, Iowa, Michigan State and Ohio State, among others. Jackson-Davis averaged 12.4 points and 9.0 rebounds to help Center Grove to a sectional championship last season.

Isaiah Thompson, Zionsville, Jr.

It seems like the 6-foot guard has been around a long time and he still has two years of high school remaining. Thompson hopes to lead Zionsville to its first sectional title since 1995 coming off a season that saw him average 18.4 points and 3.3 assists per game. Thompson has offers from Butler and Purdue.

Second team

Gavin Bizeau, Plainfield, Sr.

Plainfield's Gavin Bizeau is committed to Duquesne.

Plainfield posted its first winning season since 2008-09 in large part due to the production of the 6-10 Bizeau, who earned Junior Indiana All-Star honors last season. The Duquesne recruit averaged 15.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game to lead the Quakers to a 14-10 mark.

Jarron Coleman, Cathedral, Sr.

The 6-6 Coleman helped the Irish to a City tournament championship last season. The Ball State recruit averaged 19.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists as a junior to lead Cathedral to a 15-win season. There is anticipation of bigger things ahead this year.

John Michael Mulloy, Carmel, Jr.

Mulloy, a versatile 6-10 forward, made his college commitment in September (committing to Butler) and is focused on the season. The left-handed Mulloy averaged 9.5 points and 8.2 rebounds as a sophomore and shot 82 percent from the free-throw line.

Tyler Watson, Tri-West, Sr.

Tri-West Bruins guard Tyler Watson (13) lines up a shot.

The 6-foot senior and Marian University recruit will lead a program that is looking for its fifth consecutive Class 3A sectional title. Watson averaged 20.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game last season as Tri-West played in a regional title game and won 23 games.

Myja White, Brebeuf Jesuit, Sr.

Brebeuf coach Todd Howard calls the 6-1 guard the best shooter in the state. White averaged a team-leading 14.0 points per game to help the Braves to a 13-win season. He shot a steamy 48.4 percent (60-for-124) from the 3-point line as a junior. White is a Miami of Ohio commit.

Third team

Cameron Alford, Brownsburg, Jr.

The 6-2 guard led the Bulldogs to a sectional championship last season and there is anticipation of another tournament run this year. Alford averaged 17.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists last season as a sophomore. Alford is uncommitted for college.

Aaron Etherington, Hamilton Southeastern, Jr.

Hamilton Southeastern's Aaron Etherington is the Royals leading returning scorer.

The Royals lost a solid group of seniors from last year’s 21-win team but the 6-7 Etherington gives HSE a veteran presence. He averaged 8.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists as a sophomore. Etherington is uncommitted for college.

Jack Hansen, Guerin Catholic, Sr.

The 6-7 Hansen was injured and missed much of the summer, but the IUPUI recruit is ready to get started. He averaged 19.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocked shots last season.

Jamal Harris, Crispus Attucks, Sr.

The 6-2 Harris came up big for Attucks in the final two games of its 3A state championship run last season, hitting the game-winning shot in the championship game. Harris averaged 9.3 points and 4.0 rebounds as a junior. Harris is committed to New Orleans.

Tony Hopkins, Howe, Sr.

The Hornets will be one of the favorites in Class 2A and the 6-4 Hopkins is a big reason why. Hopkins averaged 16.7 points per game as a junior to help Howe to an 18-win season. He is committed to New Orleans.
