Led by Artistic Director Paul Terracini the central work will be Mozart's Mass in G Major accompanied by The Kanimbla Quartet.
In Mozart's time this was a widespread form of mass, especially in Bohemia and Italy, and the themes can be song-like and often make use of folk-songs or references to well-known tunes of the time.
The choir will also be performing contemporary pieces such as the thoughtfully arranged When Memory Fades, by Jayne S. Cool, with a flowing and tender melody arranged by Eric Nelson, as well as pieces by R. Vaughan Williams, Kevin Siegfried and Grammy Award-nominated Norwegian composer Kim A. Arnesen.
As in previous years, the choir is very grateful to Community Bank Katoomba - Upper Blue Mountains (Bendigo Bank), which has generously sponsored this year's concert series.
Join choir members after the concert for a delicious afternoon tea.
Tickets $35 adult, $30 Concession and $25 per head for groups of 6 or more.
