Author Imparts His Personal Experiences: An Account on Haiti’s 7.0 Magnitude Earthquake

CRANSTON, RI, USA, November 16, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Bad things do happen in the world. Natural disasters are one of those things that no one can ever be greatly prepared for. For author Jean Gerard Rhau, his experiences about a huge calamity led him to the discovery of a very important calling in his life, and he tells it all through his book – When the 7.0 Magnitude Earthquake Hit Haiti: My Personal Experiences.

On January 12, 2010, one of wickedest disasters hit Haiti, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake had shaken not only the grounds of Haiti, but also the faith of the people. Rhau shares how his situation gave him the most memorable experiences of his life being a preacher. He traveled from Rhode Island through Boston Logan Airport; and through Miami, Florida; and then Haiti, to preach in the church of God at the Rue Du Centre, Port-au-Prince. Making sure that he would be there to offer spiritual support to the victims who had lost their homes and their loved ones, he would speak at the church in the early Morning Prayer service at 6:00 am and continuously makes himself available at 10:00 until the end of the service at 12:10 pm. Through it all, Rhau had gotten support from his friend Bishop Habel Cesar Novas, a United States Army Veteran of Dominican background. Although not a direct victim of the unfortunate event which occurred in Haiti, Rhau had his fair share of some of the worst experiences living in a place of nothingness.

The story, although it accounts personal experiences, it teaches a lesson in life about the different struggles that every individual encounters. Furthermore, it gives interesting facts about what really transpired during the earthquake and how Haiti survived after it. Rhau shares how strong his faith was and how stronger it continually gets, to make people ponder that there’s not a challenge that they cannot surpass. Disasters are divine intervention in disguise – When the 7.0 Magnitude Earthquake Hit Haiti: My Personal Experiences is a must-read book!
