About the Artists

Not Knot

Artwork courtesy of And Also

And Also
Graphic artist Dave Ranney, aka “And Also,” grew up going to the National Gallery of Art and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C., where he was inspired by the modern minimalism of Sol LeWitt, Frank Stella, and Roy Lichtenstein. The artists inspire his creative direction today. “And Also” started as a personal 100-day design challenge (creating one rainbow each day) and evolved into his own distinct style.

MuuMuu Still Life

Artwork courtesy of Angela Blehm

Angela Blehm
Mixed-media artist Angela Chrusciaki Blehm is inspired by the clothes people wear or dream of wearing; the routines and patterns of life; homes and the structures people live among; and the idea of color as antidote. Her feminine works, which feature bold stripes and bright shapes, show her penchant to break rules and experiment. She has a BFA in studio arts from the University of Houston and works out of her home studio in Gainesville.

Brandon Sadler
Sadler, aka “Rising Red Lotus,” is a native Atlantan who earned a BFA in painting and illustration from SCAD Atlanta. A multidisciplinary artist, calligrapher, film director, and writer, Sadler’s style and philosophy reference American graffiti, traditional Chinese and Japanese calligraphy and painting, manga comics, and indigenous symbolism, lore, and design.

Britt Bass Turner
Atlanta native Britt Bass Turner is known for playful abstracts full of movement. She fell in love with color and design at a young age through immersing herself in fabric samples and color swatches gathered by her interior designer mother. Turner is constantly refining her eye for aesthetics and design and hopes to bring this sense of exploration and curiosity to the current work that she paints full-time in her Roswell studio.

Territories or Target

Artwork courtesy of Joseph Guay

Joseph Guay
Born in Lewiston, Maine, Guay uses various media from photography and film to painting and sculpting to shape his culturally stirring pieces. His latest work, titled DUEL // DUAL, explores the two sides of our sociological and political climate. Elements of the work include photographs and sculptures; paintings made from motor oil, shattered high-rise glass, and gunpowder; as well as sculptures created from live-round ammunition and handguns.

People

Artwork courtesy of Yoyo Ferro

Yoyo Ferro
Ferro is a native of Piracicaba, a city in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he was a bassist for a punk rock band. Now, he makes his home in Atlanta, and his murals can be found on building facades all over the city. His work displays a sense of nonconformity, which can be seen in his paintings and whimsical abstract art featuring bright primary colors bounded by a single continuous looping black line.
