North Murray Receiver Judson Petty Signs With Georgia Tech

Chatsworth, GA-(WDEF-TV) North Murray receiver Judson Petty was all smiles on Wednesday.

And why not. He signed a scholarship to play college football at Georgia Tech.

Petty was dynamite for the Mountaineers last season, even setting the state record for most receiving yards in a game at 360-yards.

For his college decision, Petty says it was Georgia Tech or bust.

Said Petty:”I was pretty much dead set on I’m not even going to college, but then Georgia Tech called me. I always dreamed about playing at a big school. They’re a very prestigious college or university. I felt it was right for my future to go.”
Said North Murray head coach Preston Poag:”When you evaluate high school kids. What positions can they play, and can they help you at certain levels. He can play a lot of different positions. Georgia Tech has been on him for a long time. Just didn’t have any spots because nobody was leaving as a receiver. It just sort of opened up for him.”
